GSUK host first Executive Roundtable in London
On Thursday, 20th June 2019 GSUK held their first Executive Roundtable. Hosted in London and supported by HSBC at their legendary HQ in Canary Wharf, the Roundtable event brought together UK operators, Three, O2, Vodafone and Thames21, one of Genuine Solutions chosen charities of the year.
Topics for discussion included addressing current challenges within the supply chain from an environmental sustainability perspective through to generating cross-industry collaboration to support the activities of Thames 21 in reducing waste from our river systems and opportunities where a collaborative approach can have a positive environmental impact on both our own operations and society on a wider level.
The event proved to be a huge success, Kevin Ralph from Three UK commented, “The session on Thursday was both a great idea and inspirational in terms of how we as a market place of competitors can look to put aside the commercial differences to discuss collectively, how we can do something together to effect a positive change for the environment.”
Dan Halsey, Three UK added, “It was a great opportunity to network with industry peers in a relaxed environment and is abundantly clear that we share a number of challenges around recycling and sustainability within both our Supply Chains and wider businesses. Sustainability is a common goal and an area where commercial sensitivities do not need to inhibit our collective desire to work together to deliver positive change across the UK industry.
“It was also evident that we have a lot to learn from one another that could potentially make a significant difference to our impact in the environment.”

Genuine Solutions Group CEO, Christian McBride said, “The event was an overwhelming success and following the positive feedback received from our partners who attended and the overall success of the Executive Roundtable, we believe that we will be able to create some positive outcomes that will collectively benefit not just ourselves but the wider industry”
