Genuine Solutions UK travel to Gambia, Africa to take part in the Duke of Edinburgh ‘Bike for Byte’ project
In October Genuine Solutions UK (GSUK) supported and took part in The Duke of Edinburgh’s (DofE) ‘Bike for Bytes’ project in Gambia, Africa. By donating a large number of bikes and computers, staff from GSUK joined a group of trainee DofE leaders from London to help their Gambian counterparts participate in the maintenance and delivery of bikes and computers to the PIA Skills Centre and nearby school.
Without your generosity and support, this project could not have taken place.
Regional Director of DofE, Peter Fleet said, “On behalf of The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award in London, I would like to extend our thanks for your donation and support of our Bikes for Bytes project.” Peter went on to say, “In addition to the unique intercultural experience for our young leaders, your donations will be an important sustainable resource for a local community experiencing considerable disadvantage. Without your generosity and support, this project could not have taken place.”
I would like to send our up most appreciation for the enormous donations of assorted computer equipment and accessories.
GSUK also received a letter of appreciation from Saikou Nyassi, HR Manager at the President’s International Award. Saikou quoted, “On behalf of the board, management, staff, students, the entire President’s International Award family and on my own behalf I would like to send our up most appreciation for the enormous donations of assorted computer equipment and accessories. This donation will go along way in enhancing operations and services on our NAA. In this regard I would like once more send our heart felt gratitude to you, your family and your entire organisation.”
