Making a difference

As always with the Genuine Group, we put charity and community support at the heart of what our companies do. One of our core values for the group is Responsible  – we believe that we cannot be successful if we do not care about the environment and the communities around us. Another core value is Supportive and so this leads us to think of others who are not as fortunate ourselves.

So every two years, we ask our people to select new charities and in collaboration with those charities, we build a two-year programme of support. Our people benefit from learning about some inspiring causes and knowing we can help make a difference and the charities benefit from our fundraising and promotional support which spans across our people, our customers, our suppliers and partners.

We’ve had the most amazing year in 2017 and our people have taken part in some life changing events and had loads of Fun on the way. Many of the team have stretched themselves beyond their expectations and have been inspired by the causes that our charity partners are working on. Our customers too have been supportive as ever and we look forward to sharing more great fundraising initiatives with them in the future.

Our charity partners

Our charities for 2018 – 2020 are an exciting mix of partners and a perfect blend of major global health issues and some local heroes. We are also planning a major international environmental project which we hope to launch in 2019. But for our partners this year, we have introduced two environmental projects – demonstrating our commitment to lead the world in championing sustainable and repurposed technology.

We welcome all of these amazing organisations into the Genuine Solutions family. They’ve provided a fresh injection of fundraising inspiration driving us all on to do so much more.

Dementia UK

When things get challenging or difficult, Dementia UK’s nurses work alongside people with dementia and their families, giving them the one-to-one support, expert guidance and practical solutions they need, and that can be hard to find elsewhere.

British Heart Foundation

The British Heart Foundation is the nation’s heart charity and the largest independent funder of cardiovascular research. Their pioneering research has helped to transform the lives of people living with heart and circulatory conditions.

Momentum Children’s Charity

Momentum Children’s Charity is a local charity who support children with cancer and life-limiting conditions, and their families, in Surrey and South West London. They are here to make sure that no family has to cope alone.

Wildlife Aid Foundation

The Wildlife Aid Foundation is dedicated to the rescue, care and rehabilitation of sick, injured and orphaned wild animals. The charity’s veterinary wildlife hospital in Leatherhead, Surrey deals with more than 20,000 wildlife emergencies every year.

Thames 21

Thames 21 reconnect people to nature by helping them enjoy, protect and enhance their local rivers. Whether it’s the Thames or one of its many tributaries, they offer inspiring ways for communities to get together to transform their neglected waterways.

Look out for some crazy activities over the next two-year programme including helping endangered wildlife, cleaning out rivers to brightening children’s hospital wards, disco dancing marathons and even running around the Tower of London!

And, as is our tradition, we will be pushing forward on our Christmas community support programme which aims to give a little extra to the community at a special time of giving and caring about others.

If you have any questions relating to how you can help us support these charities or you have a community project you would like to be included in our Christmas community support, please get in touch with marketing@gsgplc.co.uk.
